Some Random Things....

This time of year always seems to start getting pretty crazy. I love it though. Nice weather, park days, school programs, field trips, etc. Nothing really exciting has been going on but here are a few random pictures.....

ORANGE TIGERS SPRING 2009

Soccer season is upon us again. Bailey's team stayed together from last fall. Her coaches have really invested some time in effort in this team. It has payed off this year too. They have been playing really well and have won most of their games. It has been fun to watch them really start to learn the game. Bailey really enjoys it.

For Bailey's reading time last week, I agreed to let her read to Ellie. Ellie had gotten a new book about going to Kindergarten when she went to registration. It was so one of those moments that made me pause and just be so happy I was their mom. They weren't fighting, they were just snuggling together after bath time reading together. It also killed two birds with one stone, Ellie needed to read some stories to earn a pizza coupon at school and Bailey has to read every night. Hopefully I can get them to do it again and it will go just as smoothly.

We moved some bushes in our yard last week. Logan was wanting to help pretty bad. He LOVED the dirt and of course the water. He got caught in the sprinkles a few times, hence is wet shirt on the drive way behind him, he ate A LOT of dirt, hence the dirt all over him, and he cried and cried when he had to go inside. I think I know where we will be spending a lot of time this summer. I am happy to have the bushes moved I have been wanting to do it for a while. We did break a sprinkler while doing it, but everything turned out fine. Of course a huge thank you is needed to all of our neighbors for letting us use all of their stuff and helping with the sprinkler and watching Logan while we worked. Its so nice to have such great people always so willing to help you out. What a blessing.

Logan has really started turning meal time into mess fest. But it is pretty funny to watch him. He did put that cheese on his head by himself. He also loved smearing the oatmeal all over his face. Maybe it will help out his skin issues. Gotta love those blue eyes~

I can't believe he is almost a year old. He is 11 months in these pictures. Where did the time go? He loves eating those baby Cheetos, which Ellie informs me every time that they are not as good as real Cheetos. I tell her to quit eating them off his tray then. Maybe she will start listening.

Ryan went fishing last weekend at his grandparents cabin. He had a good time. It had been quite a while since he had been. They caught a few nothing he good keep but it was still fun. I am sure he will be going back again. My sisters came up to hang out. It was nice to not be hear alone and the kids always love having their cousins come. Logan and Jackson hung out watching Baby Einstein. The girls and Drew loved riding bikes and playing outside. The girls also love to get Drew into some of their dress ups and have a show. He is a good sport and always looks very handsome in the dance outfits :) I would post a photo but I think Dean would hurt me, so leave it to your imagination. Ryan is going out of town again this weekend, anyone want to come have a girls weekend?

EASTER

We had a nice Easter weekend. It went by sort of quickly because there were plenty of activities to keep us busy. We started by dying eggs on Friday night. Logan just sat at our feet and cried most of the time because he wanted to sit in the middle of the table and splash in the dye. The Easter bunny paid our house a little visit on Saturday morning, leaving plenty of filled eggs to find, plus new buckets with treasures in them. Logan loved his first taste of jelly beans. Later that morning Ryan took the girls to an egg hunt at one of our friends house. They loved looking for eggs with their friends and were excited to get stickers in some of the eggs. I stayed home and backed up to leave for the weekend. We were heading to Oakley for and Easter egg hunt too, but first we had to squeeze in soccer pictures and half of Bailey's soccer game. It was a good half she played well and the team ended up tying. We were the last to arrive at the final egg hunt of the day, hopefully people didn't have to wait too long for us. We spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out at Julie and John's the kids love being there and spending so much time with their cousins. It was a Happy Easter !Dying Eggs

Very happy to use their new HSM 3 buckets for the neighborhood hunt

Bailey with her 5 dollar golden egg
"I'm a lucky duck" she said
I agree

Logan's 1st Easter was a hit! I think he will be loving the egg finding
and serious candy consumption for many years to come.

These 3 little girls are the best of friends. Cousins are the best!

The boy cousins have taken over the girls
7 boys (soon to be 8) & 5 girls

Papa and Dee always put forth an amazing effort for these occasions. They always get the kids new jackets which is awesome, plus a great Easter egg hunt, good food and plenty of fun.

New Easter outfits are of course a must, here are a few of the pictures of the kids in their new duds. I couldn't get a very good one of all 3 of them. That is just the way it is right now I guess. We got a few decent family ones, but I am bummed you can't see Ryan's orange tie that matches Logan that I spent several days trying to find, oh well :) The great news for my family is that we can all wear these outfits again this week and try again for a photo. Moaning and groaning not necessary, we are doing it anyway :)

Spring Break Cont'd

In spite of the cold weather, spring break was still a good time. The kids had lots of fun which is all that really matters. We started off by meeting Jenn and Drew at a super fun indoor waterpark at on of the rec centers by her house. The kids absolutely loved it, the water was really warm, they had water slides, a lazy river and plenty of fun. Logan hung out in his baby float for like 2 hours he thought it was great, he is really loving water these days. The next day we tried to hit the Park City outlets, the weather didn't really cooperate but the shopping was good nonetheless. One of the highlights was taking the kids to the Children's Museum at the Gateway. I think I had just as much fun as they did. Bailey loved being a weather girl and newscaster, Ellie loved shopping at the store, and Logan loved playing in the water. They also loved being there with their cousin Drew, Jackson was their too, but he didn't make a peep in the stroller the entire time. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. The rest of the weekend included a little more shopping, a baby shower for Jackson and Mel, and getting ready for Jackson's blessing. The weather was crappy on the way home, the fought a head wind the entire time and had to stop for gas (usually we can make it), the roads were icy, etc. etc. all the fun of driving in the winter, except it ISN"T WINTER! We have hit a lot of bad roads between here and there this year, I am done for a while. If the weather is bad, I am staying home! I am glad Ryan flew down for the weekend and was able to drive us home, he is much better in those situations then I. All in all, it was a fun week and a good way to entertain the kids.
It really was a fun place, thanks to Jenn for inviting us. She looks awesome for being 6 months pregnant and rounding up all the kids for a photo.

I didn't have the red eye function on, so everybody looks a little freaky on this trip.
Oh well he is still cute.

Ellie finally got brave and went down this slide. She ended up loving it. Bailey was a pro she kept going over and over, she told me she was getting her workout by going up the stairs so many times, but it was "totally" worth it because the slide is SO much fun.

Bailey did a good job reading the Teleprompter, Ellie just sat and looked pretty :)

This boy LOVES the water

Bailey hung out with these boys doing some building for quite a while, Ellie loved riding the horse she informed me that she really wants to ride a real one.

A good day for memories
