Laney's Newborn Photos

My friend is awesome at her "hobby" I call it talent because I am always happy with the results. I have never had newborn photos of any of my kids so this was a fun experience. I wish I had them for all of them.

Laney is a really good baby. We are enjoying her so much. There are definitely crazy times. A good friend of mine asked me if it was worth it yet. I would have to say that it is..........

It's Time

I tried really hard to get caught up on my blog before the baby, but it isn't going to happen. I will be going back to fill in all of the blanks. Tomorrow is the big day. Induction in the morning. I am feeling my usual nervousness and desire for it to be over. I want to know that she is healthy and I just want to have her here and come back home. The kids are anxious and excited. Poor Log I don't think he has a clue, but the girls are feeling all kinds of emotions like me. I hope I can handle 4 I am quite worried about it. Tonight after Bailey's soccer game we went to Applebee's, we have been promising the kids they could use their coupons from the library so tonight we went. I always like to do something with our current family the night before. I don't know why but it seems to help with the emotions, theirs and mine, well mostly mine.

This is a lovely photo I really should have stood up.

Good luck to me, thanks to Ryan for putting up with me the last 9 months, thanks to Melly and Spence for watching the kids, and thanks to everyone for the their well wishes, fun little surprises and great get togethers this week. Will hopefully be back to the blogging world soon.

Labor Day, Happy Birthday to Ryan & A Few Other Things

We spent Labor Day in Burley this year. The first night we stayed in a hotel so the kids would be able to swim. They love swimming with their cousins when we all get together. The weather wasn't the warmest so it was a simple solution.

Everyone swimming in the hot tub

The next day was a little warmer so we went over to Julie's to enjoy some outside water activities. They set up this tarp and put some and water on it for the kids to slide down. Logan rode down with Kristi, El was brave enough to go alone, and Bay went a few times then went to go find grasshoppers with the boys.

After the sliding we headed down to the dock for some jet skiing. Julie took the kids out for rides. This is one of my girls favorite things, it was the first time Logan really remembers going out on one, and we was in love I had to pry him off so the other kids could have a turn.

Where are the men?? Labor Day weekend is also opening weekend for College Football, therefore the men are pretty much non existent. They did manage to fit in an early round of golf before kick off. 4 months to go!

On Sunday we went out to Ryan's dad house for dinner, he and Dee always put on a great spread. This is the first time all the girls were able to get together and wear their Easter outfits.

Totally Picture Worthy

So cute, love all the variations of this adorable outfit

At the beginning of the summer our neighbor Jon (a John Deere lover) gave Logan a John Deere movie. Logan had started noticing tractors and was particularly fond of the green and yellow ones, Logan was expressing his love to Jon one summer evening when Jon informed us that he had a Jon Deere movie. He let Logan borrow it, and overnight Logan's love turned into a full blown obsession. We were not aware that Papa's lawn mower was a John Deere so imagine Logan's excitement when we walked into the garage and saw this......

Papa even had a hat

He sat on this thing for an hour

We had a great weekend in Burley, it is always a good time hanging out with everyone.

Loggy and Daddy looking at tractors in this book. I think I lost this book at Applebees the night before Laney was born. I called but they couldn't find it. Hum.........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!

Ryan getting ready to enjoy his Blueberry Crumb Cake
I tease him that he always picks the ugly cakes for his birthday. He says he doesn't care how they look, he likes the way the taste. I found this recipe on Pioneer Woman over the summer and it quickly became one of his favorites. Served with caramel ice cream and he is a happy man.

Happy Birthday Daddy we Love You!
I was happy when I found out Laney would be born in September. Everybody has a birthday buddy now. Ellie and Logan in May, Me and Bailey in July, and Ryan and Laney in September. If you have anal tendencies like myself you understand that this is cool. Having her born in October would simply not do. We must even it all out. Good thing it worked out, if not it would have bothered me until the end of time :)

Every year our awesome neighbors the Peterson's put on an outdoor movie. It has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. We all look forward to it every summer. This year we were favored with a little Scooby Doo. It wouldn't be summer without it.

Another season of soccer occurred this fall. Bailey had the same coach, who is awesome, and her 2 other friends that she has been playing with forever. It was a good season she worked hard. It finally paid off in the last game when she scored TWO goals. Everyone was so excited for her. I tackled her after the game. I think she was embarrassed :)

Good bye summer. I always miss you. Our life is about to change. Another little one. Hopefully by next summer we will have a grip on it all. We shall see!

First Day of School

School is back is session. The girls were excited to go back. We were all very excited about the teachers that they have this year. They both got really fantastic ones, so it should make for a great year. They got up early and were ready to go with plenty of time. Let's hope the rest of the year runs that smoothly.

Ellie has Mrs. Van Quill for first grade

Bailey has Ms. Densley for fourth grade

Ellie is excited about going all day. I am going to miss her. I think the transition to first grade is much harder than Kindergarten. They are gone for SO long.
She is ready though so I think it will be okay.
Logan thinks he is going to school too. He got to go while we took the girls to their classes so I think he figured that he went to school. By the time we ran some errands and he took a nap it was pretty much time for them to be home, so I don't think he felt to lonely. He loves going to get them off the bus.

I think we are going to have a great school year!

The Month of August

Here are some of the exciting things that happened during the month of August................

Ellie after being brave and going first on the ski board

We went to Utah at the end of the month and while we were there we went out on Pops boat. It was the perfect day, the kids in Utah had already gone back to school so there was no one at the lake. The water was smooth and the beach was all ours. It was great. I even went for a little ski I figured I was almost 36 weeks if I went into labor so be it. It felt great.

My dad bought this trainer board for the kids to learn to ski on, it is awesome all they have to do is stand on it and away they go. They were all still a little nervous and we couldn't get anyone to step up to the plate. Bailey had a melt down just thinking about it. Finally (after Bailey's melt down) I told Ellie I would give her 2 dollars if she went first. She thought about it for awhile, then I remembered she had been begging me for more Cheetos at lunch, so I told her I would throw in a bag of Cheetos.......DEAL away she went.

Way to go El

Logan loved being on the boat and especially loved holding the flag. He still asks all the time if he can go on pops boat.

This is a much happier picture of Bailey, the first time I pretty much just shoved her out there and she cried. The video is hilarious, I plan on blackmailing her with it later in life. But once she realized it was fun and not scary, she was having a great time!

All the kiddos and Melly

While we were in Utah we went to see The Lion King with my sisters and their husbands. For our birthdays this year my parents gave us all tickets. We went to P.F. Changs before which is always delicious. Their fried green beans are my absolute fave. The show was really good. Seeing that I was pretty prego, I was a little uncomfortable and hot but it was still a good time. I really liked all of the animals.

I have been wanting to go to a Boise Hawks game since we moved here. We went to them pretty regularly when we lived in Vegas and the kids always had fun. They enjoyed it this time around too. The girls actually liked watching the game and Logan liked the ball, the Hawk and all of the treats.
They let the kids run the bases after the game.
Ryan and Logan Running.

Bailey and Ellie after they finished running the bases

Everyone enjoying their hot dogs and popcorn

This was also the first time Logan had ever had Cotton Candy. He couldn't get enough. The girls love it too, we had to buy another bag.

I love this picture. We took this at the first of August while Ryan was on his golfing trip. We went to the movies and saw "How to Train Your Dragon" and then went to Golden Spoon for frozen yogurt. We do this at least once or twice every summer. It is a fun tradition that the kids look forward too.

These two pictures pretty much sum up how Logan spent most of his summer. In his dad's shadow. He loved mowing the lawn and helping him fix anything. Which happened to be Ellie's bike a lot this summer. After two years with Bay and one with El the poor bike had seen better days, but Logan loved being right in the middle of the action.

This day he was still into the "soccer suits" and he came across one of Bay's beanies. It was quite the outfit. I really have to document that this is indeed Logan. In the years to come decked out in purple with the pink mower and pink beanie he could get confused with one of the girls, but it his him.

The girls were really into art projects this summer. They spent a whole day making a Hannah Montana museum in their room one day and they made this American Girl poster by cutting up the catalog and using anything AG the could find. The results were pretty cute. They kept it hanging in their room for a long time.

We have 1 o'clock church this year. Which does not work out great for Logan's napping. Some Sunday's he would fall asleep in the car on the way home. Others weeks he would sit on the couch and fall asleep. This week he enjoyed a little snooze with dad.
