Happy Birthday Ellie

ELLIE IS 6 YEARS OLD

Ellie had a fun birthday this year. She decided she wanted to use Hello Kitty for a theme, she was able to do a lot of fun things. She got to celebrate at school, at home and with a fun birthday party at Michael's. She had a great couple of days and was of course very spoiled.

The morning birthday decor. Hello Kitty themed of course.

We are suppose to send "healthy" snacks for birthday treats to school, so we compromised and sent a snack mix that contained some healthy snacks but had candy too. Live a little I say. She also included a pencil for everyone, she was very excited to be the star of the show for the day. She was also very happy about her name being announced over the intercom in the morning, since they had an assembly that day, the principal said Happy Birthday to her and another boy at the assembly. Lucky :)

Here she is with her birthday sticker

She really wanted to have a tea party birthday at the same place that Bailey did, but that lady is no longer doing birthday parties. That is a bummer because she did a great job for a great price. She then changed her mind to wanting to have an art supply party???? but still could not quite let the tea party thing go, so the compromise was birthday party at Michael's and birthday lunch at Miss Tami's Tea Cottage. Miss Tami's is a local place that serves every kind of tea imaginable and also serves lemonade in a tea pot for the kiddos. The food was pretty good but the experience was really fun. It was a little too dainty in there for Logan he made us nervous the whole time. I am glad we chose to go after the lunch time rush.

She was very excited to pour it herself

Bailey had a soccer game that night so we all headed out to that. We told her to score a goal for Ellie since it was her birthday. She did, but they called it back because they said she was off sides, I am still questioning that call. Ellie thinks she scored for her so that's all that matters.

After the game it was time for presents and cake

A new cute turtle Webkinz and clothes for her doll were some of the favorite gifts

Ellie loves the tradition of being the first one to take a bite of cake. She is very insistent about this on all of our birthdays.

She also loved this Hello Kitty bubble blower. It was really fun on the night of her birthday. It broke after that and went back to the store, but at least it was fun while it lasted.
The next day she had her birthday party with her friends. We had her "art" party at Michael's craft store. It was a fun place to have a party and I think everyone had a great time.
The kids all made a tote bag, decorated their spot, played with clay, went on a tour of the store, sang a special birthday song to Ellie, and of course did presents and cupcakes.

Everyone signed this poster for her when the arrived

The kids decorating their spots

Opening presents. Noah made her this pinata by himself, he filled it with treasures for everyone to enjoy, even Bailey and Logan. Sweet kid!!

Check out those sweet tote bags

She really wanted me to show off some of the new doll clothes, these were some of her favorites!

Here are six things we LOVE about Ellie..........

1. She is funny and silly she makes us all laugh with her little antics.

2. She loves to ask questions and turns everything she has to do into a question. "Why don't you go to sleep when you make me go to sleep? Why do you like the house to be clean? Why doesn't Logan have to do jobs? Why do some people have orange flowers at their house and some people have pink?" All inquiring questions from El

3. She always gives me hugs and kisses and tells me she loves me.

4. She loves "pretty things" as she calls them. Any little bit of bling catches her eye as does a cute pair of shoes.

5. She is a little foody, she will try just about anything and she sometimes prefers more grown up type foods. Example: the other day Bailey and her friend were having mac and cheese, as was Logan, Ellie wanted tuna and crackers. She ate every bit of it too.

6. Ellie is a talker. If I want to know all of the details about something, I ask her to tell me. She doesn't leave anything out. Bailey doesn't really enjoy this characteristic when she is the one in question. The girl will talk your ear off if you let her.

Love you Ellie Jo Jo!!

The Month of April

We had fun in the month of April with Spring Break and Easter. We had some Easter celebrations at home and then headed down to St. George with my parents & sisters and their kids. It was a nice Warm break, when we came home we had a few more Easter celebrations.

This was our friends/neighbors annual Easter egg hunt. It is always a great way to start off spring.

The kids had fun dying eggs in their new PJ's

We told the kid about the new baby on a dyed Easter egg. I didn't realize how blurry it was. The egg says "New Baby September 2010"

Bailey kept trying to peak at it while I was dying it, she knew I was up to something.
Ellie said mom is pregnant over and over
Logan just kept saying Egg

Our Easter morning.

Lots of eggs and lots of candy. Logan just kept shoving jelly beans in his mouth, as many as would fit.

New socks and new glasses.

I love this picture!

After our Easter morning we drove down to Utah so we could head down to St. George for some warmth. The spring was not warm enough for my liking..........

When we got to St. George we had lunch outside in the sun at

In N Out Burger, my favorite. It was amazing as usual

Even picky Bailey ate all of her burger

Logan loved the swing, he never got tired of it. I am sure grandma got tired of pushing him.

The kids loved being able to swim

Logan loved swimming so much, he was always ready

These kids are like me, we like warmer weather better!!

We wore these little guys out!

Ryan came back down to meet us so we could drive to Burley for some more Easter celebrations, but we had to make a stop at Tai Pan. While we were there we found these. Ryan made the kids put them on. Bailey was with my mom at another store so she missed out, but here are some photo of Ellie and Logan in Aggie gear.

Ryan is really thinking Aggie football is steppin it up this year. We shall see.

We spent Easter Sunday with Ryan's family. It is always a good time. Serious egg hunt, good food, and plenty of fun for the kids with their cousins.

Since Easter was on Conference Sunday the kids only wore part of their Easter outfits, they have cute tulle skirts that match these sweaters but aren't the best for egg hunting, especially in the freezing cold!

Jaeli, Ellie, and Allie with their matching jackets.

Other things in April worth noting.....

Bailey had a recognition night for Activity Days. They have these cute charm bracelets and at each recognition night they get to add more charms for the things they have passed off.

She also had a piano recital. She played two songs and did a great job. My parents came up to watch her, she had a soccer game that day too so it was a great weekend to visit.

The Month of March

We started out the month with a trip to Logan. Matt & Jill were blessing their newest addition, Layla Joy, isn't she cute. I love her headband.

We also took the kids bowling. My kids had never been. I have always wanted to take them but I am not sure where a kid friendly place is in around here. That is what is great about Logan, everywhere is kid friendly, well not everywhere, you shouldn't take your kids to The Owl, but this bowling alley was very kid friendly. Bumpers and stands for your bowling ball make it perfect for kids. We had a great time. FYI I am NOT a good bowler.

Ellie's ball was a little heavy

Ryan helping the girls line up their balls just right

That is a lot of cute kids

and

A lot of bowling shoes

Ryan and his bro's acting all chill, but they were really trying to beat the crap out of each other in this family friendly game of bowling.

I can't remember who won, they probably can, all I know is it was NOT me!

This is a 2L full of water. When we were getting ready to leave Logan and head home I asked Ryan if he filled up the big cup he was carrying with water. He said that he did. I grabbed one more water bottle and headed out. On the way down the kids couldn't get enough to drink and we ran out of water, so I wanted to make sure to minimize the whining for the ride home. Well when I got out to the car I noticed that the big cup was not full of water, but full of Coke (not diet) with no ice. There could not be a worse drink for me, actually anything without ice is painful. So I of course go on a tirade about how he needs to find us some more water, yada yada............... 5 minutes later he comes back with this. The 2L which previously contained soda has now been filled with water and the lid is the lid of a regular water bottle, not a 2L so it leaks. Nice. I, of course, say I will NOT be holding that the whole way home. The kids think it is hilarious and start passing it back and forth sipping out of it. Bailey said she would hold it. After being on the road for about 10 minutes they were all passed out and slept most of the way home. This is how full the 2L was when we got home. Guess we didn't need it after all. Ryan says "I will rue the day I put him in charge of cups and ice" I concur and actually now find this hilarious.

A few weeks later my sisters husbands both had some work to do in Boise so they came for a visit. We didn't do much, just hung out and took the kids swimming.

Ellie and Drew

These kiddos love the water.

A few things from school.................

Ellie and I made this cute kite for her March project, she picked out most of the things on it. The kite her teacher gave her to use was orange, but she didn't like it. She wanted it to be turqoise, so we covered the orange with cardstock and there you have it.

For read week the students had to dress up like their favorite book character.

Ellie was Pinkalicious and Bailey was Molly from the American Girl books.

(Bailey's glasses are my old ones that we popped the lenses out of,she loves them and still wears them all of the time. Silly kid)

St. Patricks Day

Our friend Lucky the Leprechaun visited us again this year. He left some gold and green candy and some new green shirts to wear. No pinching will be happening.

Logan calls candy " nandy" and he can't get enough he is eating this one with the wrapper on.

Everyone in the green gear. Looking pretty cute I think.

My sister in law made me those cute Lucky blocks. I love them, love her, love her craftiness, and her vinyl cutter. I can't wait to use them again next year.

Valentines Hoopla

We had a good Valentines Day this year. The girls had parties at school. Ellie made an envelope for her Valentines at school and Bailey had to make a box at home this year. Ellie's class decorated cookies and passed out Valentines, Bailey's class did the same and enjoyed some cookies that Bailey and I made for their treat. Ryan and I were able to go out on Saturday night, we went to P.F. Changs and got all of our favorites. It was a nice night out, afterwards we went to pick up a few Valentines for the kiddos. A few simple things make them happy so the task was very simple. On Sunday we had a nice dinner and just hung out. It was a good love day weekend.

Bailey with her valentines and her cute box that she made

Ellie with her Valentine envelope and decorating her sugar cookie at school

We must have some heart hair for the Valentines celebrations

The girls and I made a few chocolate strawberries to enjoy

My mom sent the girls pajamas for their dolls, they were so very excited.

She sent Logan a new choo choo which he loved, he also got a new Thomas show from us, so his obsession is continually being fueled. Which is good, he loves it.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Monkey Bizness

The kids didn't have school on Friday or today so I wanted to find something fun to do. On Friday we decided to go to Monkey Bizness with a few friends. It is an indoor inflatable place, with a big jungle gym, and a rock climbing wall. The kids had a lot of fun it was a great way to spend half of the day.

Bailey climbing the rock wall. She did a great job she got to the top quickly and pushed off on the way down just the way she was suppose to.

They had a small area for toddlers, Logan liked riding this duck, but mostly he loved just running around and playing in the bottom portion of the jungle gym.

Bailey and Ellie coming down the big slide. They did this 100 times I swear.

Aggies vs. Broncos

Every February the Aggies basketball team comes to town to take on the Broncos. We have not missed this event yet, it is always an enjoyable game. The kids always have such a hard time deciding who to cheer for. They usually end up cheering for both. I tell them this is a good way to go that way you won't be disappointed in the end. You are safe either way. I guess you could call us fair weathered fans being that we support the Broncos in football yet cheer against them in basketball when they play our Alma Mater, I take my own advice on this matter. Cheer for who you think will win, that way you won't be disappointed :)

Some Pictures of the Event:

There weren't a ton of people there which was nice the kids could kind of wander. Throw some treat in the mix and they are happy for a few hours.

Ellie took care of the rest of the popcorn for us

Family Shot

The Aggie fans are entertaining, sometimes a little ruthless, but entertaining. If you haven't heard the fans at the Spectrum doing Winning Team-Losing Team. I recommend you check it out on YouTube. It's pretty funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARpzavb7PQk

Until next year. Good Luck Ag's!
