Freezer = Extra Storage + Hours of Fun

We got a new freezer this week. We have been needing one for a while. It is just nice to have the extra storage plus I have a lot of "extra milk" around these days that needs a home. It fits great in the garage. But more importantly the box has provided hours of entertainment for the girls and a lot of kids in the neighborhood. They spent most of the day in it yesterday decorating it with tissue paper, cutting out doors and windows, coloring the inside making it look fabulous. They spent a lot of time in it today after church too. Bay drew a TV on the wall today and found an old remote we had laying around to use in it. So if you need a new freezer you may want to save the box and wrap it up for Christmas : )

I think this post is just great. Totally captures childhood and how kids really don't need much to have a lot of fun! :)

Why is it that the cheapest "junk" is always the most entertaining for the kids. We kept our fridge box around form months because the kids were so attached. :)
Send me your e-mail address, would you? THANKS!

Of course a box is better than a princess castle! :) How nice to finally get a freezer to store your milk.

So glad that you got some extra storage for all of that milk! Sounds like things aren't really slowing down in that department. That's pretty funny that the girls loved playing with the box for so long- what creative little minds they have!

Ok, way to cute! We bought a freezer this week also, but Mark broke down the box immediately before I even realized it! Darn, Rex could have been occupied for hours! I love Ellie's face in the last picture!

It is so nice to see little kids off the couch, out of the house, and being creative. Lately, I am having to come up with stuff for the kids to do. Where is the imagination? Darn that tv.
