The newest member of the family arrived today to Ryan's brother Aaron and his wife Mindy. Daxton Keith came into the world happy, healthy and hopefully ready to find his spot in the family. He will be #4 the oldest is 3. If anyone can handle this task Mindy can......go girl!!
The month of May is over and part of me is sad to see it go. Some of the things we did this month we had been waiting for all year. The summer is here and the craziness of schedules will slow down. This is good and bad I guess. The kids had a great year in school and in their activities, it has been fun to watch them grow and watch them get better at doing the things they enjoy. Bring on June!

The CrazY Month of MaY ...........cont'D
May 28th (Thursday)
--Ellie has dance pictures. She is so excited to finally get to wear her dance outfit. This has been a fun group of girls. She has really enjoyed them and its been fun getting to know some of the moms too.
--Another hot day the girls beg to go swimming. Ryan has to go to a meeting so I agree. We head to the pool for an hour. It was great for them to get cooled off and get their energy out. Logan was great to just sit in his wagon and play with toys.
May 27th (Wednesday)
--Ellie had a pizza party at school. She was most excited about it. She kept telling Ryan "dad you aren't invited to my pizza party."
--We head to the mall, Ellie is most insistent that we get Ms. Heidi (her teacher) a new coffee cup and she has her eye set on the one at the Life is Good store, so that is what we got.
May 26th (Tuesday) --Logan poops on the floor EVERYWHERE. Additional details of this are not needed for my memories, I doubt they will be forgotten anytime soon.
--Logan has his 12 month check up today his stats are:
--WEIGHT: 20.75 lbs. 15%
--LENGTH: 30.5 " 75% (the highest any of the kids have been in anything ever, go Log)
--HEAD: 17.8 " 20%
--His ears looked much better. The Dr. wasn't totally on board with me lowering the dose of the medicine, she thought the rash was from him playing in the dirt on Sat. Not sure what to believe at this point, but the rash is gone and the ears are clearing up so I am just going to keep doing what we were doing. Seriously so sad when they get their shots. Happy his are done for a little while.
May 25th (Monday) --Ellie wakes Ryan up to tell him to go and work on the swing set. 8 a.m. swing set work begins.
--Rash is totally gone!! YaY Logan is feeling much better.
--Another long run
--Ryan informs me that when I moved the flower box over..... (I moved it over because it wasn't centered on the fence and it bugged me, so before we filled them on Sat. I centered it on the fence)...I covered up a sprinkler. Perfect! So I undig the flower box, move it over and replant it. Not very much fun at all. This is what my anality gets me.
--I take the kids swimming while Ryan continues to work on the swing set. It was great weather to be outside.
--Dave comes over to help Ryan with the swing set, it was great with the help he actually ended up getting it done today.
--BBQ some hot dogs and have ice cream sandwiches. The kids are loving the swing set all of the kids in the neighborhood are enjoying it too.
--Finally take a shower and call it a day!!
May 24rd (Sunday) --Rash is still hanging around. Our gut instinct is that it he is reacting to the medicine but does not have an allergic reaction. We thought the dose was kind of high for his weight so.... We call the Dr. to be sure. Memorial weekend = run around. Dr. was a total bitty not impressed with her at all. We take matters into our own hands. Reduce the dose and pray. Ryan takes girls to church.
--Loggy and I are totally late for church. I bring Benadyrl to church just in case :) Church is still craziness even with my tardiness, but still good.
--Ryan's aunt, uncle, and cousins come over for a visit. It was so fun seeing them. His cousin lives here and her parents were visiting. Note to self......get together with them more often.
May 23nd (Saturday)
--Logan's fever is already gone and he seems to be getting back to himself already.
--The work begins..........
--We borrow our neighbors truck (are we ever going to get one of our own?? hope so) we go to Toys R Us and get the last swing set of the model we were looking for. Not the one I had been searching out initially but I think it will be good. Just happy to have one at this point. Run to Target for a few quick things. It never ends up being quick with both kids looking at every single thing in the store. Meet Ryan to pick up dirt in our neighbors truck, dirt is needed to fill up the garden and flower boxes. 2 loads of dirt later and many a many trips with the wheel barrow back and forth the boxes are now full. Logan eats lots and lots of dirt!!
--Ryan starts on the swing set, I head back out for seeds and flowers to plant in the boxes. At 8 that night we start to wrap things up. Significant process was made on the swing set and the garden and flower box both got planted. A successful day.
--I give Logan his medicine and take him upstairs to get his pajamas on. When I take off his shirt his back is covered with a rash. My initial thought is that he is allergic to the antibiotic. Which would totally stink. Then we start thinking and realize that he has been on it before and he has been on it for over 24 hours without a problem. Humm. Ryan starts thinking and we start researching an amoxicillin rash. More thinking. We give him Benadryl to be on the safe side. Pray that he is okay and doesn't have a reaction that night.
May 22nd (Friday)
--Logan's fever came raging back on Friday morning. Too much birthday fun? Back to 103, so a Dr. Appt. was scheduled for later that afternoon. First we had to stop by Bailey's class to celebrate the summer birthdays at an "unbirthday" party. I think this is great that her teacher does this. Being a summer birthday myself, I remember feeling a little jipped not being able to have a birthday at school. Although, now you are not allowed to bring cupcakes or anything really unhealthy. So I made up a trail mix of healthy and some unhealthy stuff (swedish fish, peanut m&m's, plus pretzels and goldfish, they even each other out right)? Birthday bags and balloons it might as well have been July 19th!!
--Logan's doctors appointment informed me that he had a double ear infection. Fantastic! I was actually relieved it wasn't something worse, but I feel bad. He has probably had it for a while. Walgreens drive through, here I come AGAIN. Gotta love the drive through though.

The crazy month of May.............cont'd
May 19th (Tuesday)
--Why do babies poop at the worst possible times? Being on time is really not one of my greatest characteristics, but I swear the gods are against me most of the time too. Even if I am about to be on time, crap happens (ha ha). Logan had a blow out, totally late for my meeting, sweating by the time I get to the meeting, don't realize until half way through the meeting that Logan has a fever. Great!
--Give Logan medicine he sleeps for like 5 hours, feels a little better I think.
--Take Bay to her soccer game. Ryan stays home with Loggy. The team Bailey plays are huge and undefeated, over the past few seasons they have throttled us Bay says"mom those girls look like 5th graders" I agree. Tigers play AWESOME. They kept up with them. Bay played like an all-star, she was all over the field. At the end of the 3rd quarter it was 4-4. Tigers got tired......4th quarter was a blow out. Still so proud of them they played great.
--Loggy's fever is back. More medicine.
Notice the other girl in the photo, I am sure she is a sweet girl, but I may need to look at her birth certificate, Bailey isn't the tallest girl in the world but some major size difference!!
May 20th (Wednesday)
-- Loggy's fever is 103....yuck. He sleeps all day. I alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen......still 103. Its so sad when you know they don't feel well and can't do anything. He doesn't want me out of his sight. Just clings on my leg when he is awake. Fever lowers a bit. Need to run a quick errand for his b-day. I just hold him the whole time so he won't spread his germs or pick up any others.
--Make cupcakes for the Tigers last game. Take Bailey and her friend Gavin to the game, Ryan stays home again. Bailey played great again. Tigers win!! Soccer is done!!!!

--Fever back up to 103. Call Dr. Nurse tells me to go to the ER if it reaches 105. More medicine...........finally at 3:30 a.m. the fever breaks YEA.
Hopefully he is on the mend, tomorrow is his BIRTHDAY!

The crazy month of May.............cont'd
May 11th (Monday)
--I volunteered in Bailey's class today for one of the last times. I cannot believe the school year is almost over. It really has flown by. It has been fun to watch these kids grow over this past year. 3rd grade seems like such a big step, I hope Bailey is ready. I am so glad I am able to be in the classroom and be a part of her day. I love seeing her in her environment.
May 12th(Tuesday)
--Ellie had to get her kindergarten shots today. She new it was coming and she told me that she wasn't going to cry. She asked me throughout the morning, "is it time for my shots yet" She had a good check up. She only gained 2 pounds last year, so now that Logan is on whole milk, Ellie is too. They had her put on a little gown so she could listen to her heart and check everything out. They gave her the shots in her legs, 4 of them. She held my hands and squeezed them tight. After the second one her face got kind of red and she looked like she was going to cry, but she didn't. She was very brave!! She earned her one special treat at the store afterward. She also had a nasty infection in her big toe. We had to soak it, and all of that good stuff, but a bucket of water and Logan is a bad combination unless your outside. So poor Ell had to stand in the bucket up on the table. The toe is finally getting a little better. Thank heavens for antibiotics because this time of year, keeping her feet clean is pretty much impossible.
Ellie's 5 Year Stats are: Weight 34 pounds----Height: 40 Inches
May 13th (Wednesday)
--A couple of friends of mine from the gym started a weight loss boot camp. It is a great program and has really helped people loss some weight. They decided to add the nutrition component to the boot camp and asked me to be their guest speaker. It was fun to wear that hat again. It has been awhile, but I really enjoy doing it. Plus a little extra cash is always nice too.
May 14th (Thursday)
--I went to lunch with a friend of mine from college. We hadn't seen each other since our freshman year, but our kids ended up being in the same dance class. Crazy. Anyway it has been fun chatting with her every Thursday and enjoyed catching up more and letting the kids play.
--Donated blood. I am always a sucker for this I don't know why. I don't really enjoy it but I don't totally hate it either. I think it was for an Eagle scout project or something. Ellie has been pretty disturbed about the whole thing and keeps wondering when I will get the blood back. Hopefully never!
--Bailey's makeup soccer game from the rainy day a few weeks ago. Tigers won! Good game.
May 15th (Friday)
--Spent time at the office with Ryan trying to figure everything out. Lots to do.... so decided we needed lunch at Bajio :)
--Tried to get a swing set for like the 50th time, still didn't get one. Getting frustrated!
--Soccer game for this week was tonight. Didn't win, still a great game. The kids really don't care which I think is great. Kids played outside until it was dark. Summer is on its way.
May 16th (Saturday)
--Did a long run for the first time in a long time. Training for the Sawtooth Relay. Didn't die, yea!
--Ryan finally built some garden boxes, they don't have any dirt yet, but hey its a start.
--Went golfing for date night with Dave and Kami. I was a little worried about it, because I stink. It ended up being really fun. It was the perfect night to be outside. I can see why the game is addicting and humbling. When you hit a good shot you want to keep playing and are then quickly humbled. Hopefully I can better as the years go on.
May 17th (Sunday)
--My cousin got back from his mission this week and it was his homecoming today. We didn't make it so I fed the missionaries in his honor :) Most of my cousins on my moms side are girls so to have a missionary from our family has been exciting. He went to Milwaukee and spoke Hmong, I never even knew there was such a language .
May 18th (Monday)
--Went to Costco again. Logan is loving the whole milk. Been going through it like its our job.
--Tried to get a swing set again. Did NOT get one. May have a lead on a different one though, hopefully we can get it this week.
--Soccer tournament started tonight. It was dang hot!! 95 degrees at game time, Vegas was only 97 today, so I figure I can say it was dang hot. Bailey's face is still red. Tigers won. 2 games to go.

The Crazy Month of May..........cont'd
May 9th
Logan's favorite thing to do at the soccer game is run after any ball that he can see. I end up apologizing to a lot of kids after he steals their ball.

She loves it and has already worn in quite a few times.
After the soccer game Bailey had her very first piano recital. It was at the home of a family in our ward. There are a couple of high school girls that teach the kids piano with the help and monitor of their moms. They have been doing a really good job. Bailey is coming right along. She played two songs. "Catch a Falling Star" which her teacher Shayla played a duet with her on and "Come to the Parade" she had them both memorized and looked so grown up playing up there. We were very proud of her.
We don't even have a piano, Bailey has been playing on my sisters old key board that she got in junior high. It is working out great for now, but we are hoping to get a "real" piano soon.
After the recital I think we had worn my mom and dad out so they hit the road :) My sunglasses broke in the midst of the all the craziness, and I know I am weird but whatever, I absolutely cannot be without sunglasses. We decided to stop at Costco. Ryan and the kids shopped around for mothers day, while I sat in the food court by myself drinking a Diet Coke. Yeah I probably looked a little strange, but after that week, sitting alone with a Diet Coke for a few minutes felt lovely!! Besides I love Costco and I love Diet Coke, so a win-win.
On we went to the Pinewood Derby, which we did not enter because Ryan didn't have time to make a car, but the ended up needing a judge so Ryan was their guy. The kids really loved watching the cars race. Coming from a family of all girls this was my first Derby experience, and look forward to Logan doing them in the future.
Saturday complete!
-Saturday greeted us with Bailey's soccer game, Bailey's piano recital, and the Elders Quorum Pine Wood Derby. The soccer game was pretty intense, the game was really close and the other team was pretty relentless. Bailey thought it was a blast, I thought it was a little too intense for 8 year olds, but what do I know?? I am not even sure if we won or not, I prefer it that way I guess.

The Crazy Month of May..........
I have decided I am going to write something about everyday this month because it is just so crazy. I am not writing it to say "ah look how busy" or anything like that. I personally don't believe in the "I'm too busy" I think you can be as busy as you want to be.......but that there is just a ton of stuff going on this month and I don't want to forget it. We will see how good I actually do at keeping up with the postings. I first have to start with the end of April with Bailey's field trip........
April 29th

April 30th
-Ryan leaves for the 2nd weekend in a row. Heads for the east coast to Charlotte NC. He went to check out some dental equipment. Which they did for about 5 hours. The remainder of the time was spent golfing and attending the golf tournament. He loved the tournament, being that close to all of the players and seeing how good they really are. He could have reached out and touched Tiger Woods he was so close. The kids think that is pretty cool and they spend a lot of time watching golf that Sat. trying to find him on the TV.
May 1st
-Kids and I "get a redbox" as the girls say. We have popcorn and hang out while dad is gone. They actually were pretty good while he was gone.
Bailey says to me "mom I know why he have all been sniffling a lot and been kind of plugged up, its because people have been going to Mexico and then coming back to the United States and getting us sick."
I say "Bay we don't have swine flu"
she says "yeah that is it, that's what he have"
Me "no really we don't have the swine flu, probably just allergies"
Bay "well maybe we just have it a little, like probably a centimeter"
Me "probably not" (trying not to laugh)
May 2nd
-It rains all day, actually pours all day, Bailey's game gets cancelled. Decide to take kids to McDonald's to play. It grosses me out the whole time, but kids are so happy. They tell me thank you like 50 times. I let them get Happy Meals and ice cream cones they were pretty excited. Logan learns that fries are really good!
May 3rd
- 3 hours of church by myself never seemed so long with Logan. I was sweating, he was sweating. I was ready to go home. I got a new calling that I am very excited about, totally wonderful people that I will be working with. Primary is a great place to be.

-Ryan comes home, kids are very excited. Logan actually runs to him. So cute. Ryan brought the girls stuffed Tar Heels, they love them. We already have a strong liking for the Tar Heel state.
May 4th
-Bailey has been practicing for a play after school for about 6 weeks. They did a version of Cinderella. She had the part of one of the mice. She really loved learning the songs and had a little speaking part. She wasn't able to do the part because a girl was standing in front of the microphone when it was her turn and she wasn't sure what to do. She did a really great job though. She new all of the songs really well. I could actually here her singing. I think she really enjoyed being in a play and I am sure she will want to do it again.
May 5th and 6th
-The calm before the storm.
April 29th
-Logan and I go with Bailey's class and the entire 2nd grade on a field trip to the Discovery Center. It is a great place. I love all of the fun scientific things they have to do there. Bailey hasn't let me forget that I wasn't able to go on her field trip last year because I was at the hospital in labor with Logan, so I had to make it up to her this year. I was happy to be able to go. They went to the park after for a picnic lunch. It was a fun to spend the day with her and her friends.

Taxes
Ryan started working on the taxes today. I am not happy. All of the plans I had in the works for the next few months are not happy. Bailey asked me if I was happy that Barrack Obama was our president I said "not today" I am not sure if he had anything to do with my taxes or not, but I have to blame someone! If anyone can remember going out to dinner with us and talking dentistry and still has the receipt could you please send it our way, serious deductions are needed!!p.s. Obama lovers my comment about "not today"would have been the same regardless of who was President, so no hate comments please. Thank You :)

Poop on Santa, Missing Tooth, and A Christmas Program
Last night we went to the mall so the kids could see Santa. It was crazy and hectic to get out the door, why is doing something fun not easy?, the mall wasn't to busy which was nice and we only waited for Santa for a few minutes. As our turn was drawing near I was holding Logan and I felt a little rumble in his pants. He pooped right before we left so I figured it was just a little gas. The girls ran into to Santa and I went to sit Logan on his lap too. As I was passing him over I caught a wiff of him, not pleasant, oh well snap a quick photo. Photo turns out pretty cute, wish they would have worn more Christmasy clothes but whatever, pick up Logan so the girls can talk to Santa. Notice that Santa has a little orangish greenish "stuff" on his suit, oh that can't be, oh but it is, poo leaking out of the bottom of Logan's pants. What to do, what to do?? Do nothing, let girls talk to Santa, tell Ryan that Logan pooped on Santa, run for bathroom holding Logan out in front of me. Take Logan into nasty public restroom, pants and one sock are dirty, shirt and onsie are okay. Hum...what do I have in the diaper bag oh good pants, navy same as what he was wearing, oh wait they are 0-3 months, okay so shorts, coldest day of the year, whatever. No socks in diaper bag but brown sandals, been wondering where those were.... Wrap Logan in my coat, go find family at McDonald's, put Logan back in car seat wrap blanket and jacket around him, no one can see he has no socks on and shorts...aka white trash. Remind myself to restock diaper bag with season appropriate and proper fitting clothing. Good news..... girls loved seeing Santa, Ellie asked for a Webkin and Bailey told him to surprise her. Yes, I did look back on this and feel sad for the next kids that see Santa and may possibly walk away with a small amount of a orangish greenish substance on them, but I did not think of this at the time. The only reaction was to get out and get out now. Poor Santa, poor kids who saw Santa later. I am sorry. Merry Christmas!!In other news, Bailey FINALLY lost her first tooth. Her two bottom permanent teeth were growing in behind her baby teeth, making the baby teeth only kind of loose and looking like they were never going to come out. I was planning on taking her to see Ryan next week and just have him yank them out. Which totally made her freak out. We were going to see some Christmas lights with some friends from our ward, when we got there Bailey got out of her seat belt and Ryan was still pulling up, he hit the brakes and she went flying. Result, face slammed against the center console .......lots of crying....... then tears of joy........ the tooth got knocked out. Yea! We really are white trash. Hopefully the other one comes out soon. Maybe she will still need to get that one pulled. The tooth fairy did visit and she is one dollar richer. 
On Monday Ellie had her preschool Christmas program. They did a good job. Since she goes to a Christan preschool most of the songs were focused on Jesus. It was pretty cute. There was one little girl in Ellie's class that was pretty much screaming the songs the whole time. It was funny, but I am glad that it wasn't my kid doing the screaming. Her class sang 12 Little Angels, Away in A Manger, and Christmas Morning. Ellie was a little shy at first but warmed up a little towards the end.
This time of year is crazy but it is filled with lots of great memories!! I do love Christmas!

Color Guard / Bloody Nose / and the Missing Pants

Last week for Girl Scouts they had a birthday party for their founder with all of the troops in our area. Bailey's leader was in charge of it so our troop was able to do the color guard for the ceremony. Bailey was in charge of reading and bringing in the troop to do the color guard. She did a great job. I was proud of her for doing it, there were a lot of people there.
Ms. Joanne is such an awesome troop leader!
Ellie is a wild child as usual, she has gotten two bloody noses in the past week. The first time I
was partly to blame, she was climbing on my legs and the slipped and she fell flat on her face. Sad! It bled a little, but on Sat. she was running into her room and tripped and slammed her nose onto Bailey's bed frame. It bled a lot! That poor girl and her nose, she is seriously going to need reconstructive surgery when she gets older. She has hit it, smashed, slammed it, quite a few times. Anyway it wasn't funny but looking at these pictures of her make me laugh. She was fine after a few minutes and was back running around. Ryan is also very prone to bloody noses so I figure it could be in the genes a little..jpg)

seriously ALWAYS has cold feet. I have tried 5 or 6 different kinds of socks, he can get them all off. He has now moved on to his pants. If his pants are even at all lose he can get them off. Once he does he is so proud of himself and just laughs and rolls and rolls. These pictures are of his jammies that he took off about 5 min. after I put them on. He started army crawling a little this week and loves to roll under the couches or beds. He is a busy boy!.jpg)
