New Kicks & 9 Months Old

I figured since Logan was walking he needed some new shoes to wear. I was pretty excited to get these little Converse All-Stars for him. Ryan thought they were cool since they were Chuck Taylors's. I will be able to get him on board for anything if I can link it to sports somehow. Anyway I think he looks pretty studly.

I can't believe he is 9 months old. I know I keep saying it but the time really is just flying by. Here are his 9 month stats
Weight: 18 pounds 27 %
Length: 29.5 inches 56%
Head: 17.4 inches 18%
These stats are pretty average for our kids, he may actually have some height..... time will tell. He really is such a joy.
I hope I don't have a climber on my hands

Chuck E. Cheese & Free Ice Cream

Last weekend Ryan had to work, so I drove to Utah by myself with the kids to celebrate my moms birthday and my nephew Drew's 3rd b-day. The drive went well, I was actually pleasantly surprised how good the kids were. I may actually do it again, I don't want to jinx myself though! That night we went to Crown Burger for my moms b-day her favorite and one of mine too. Saturday we had to go to funeral for a family friend, it was sad unfortunate situation, but I was really glad I could be there to support their family. Later that day we went to Chuck E. Cheeses for Drew's little party. This is what the girls had been waiting all week for. It was pretty crowded but ended up being great. Everyone had a lot of fun and got tons tickets so we could buy plenty of "junk" what else could you ask for. It was a good weekend.

The birthday boy

Ellie was pretty stoked about all her tickets she won at the fish game
Bailey really liked this bike that you pedal to make you go high

Last week Bailey had a her annual Girl Scout Thinking Day. Her troop did the country of Scotland. Each troop was in charge of a different country and then the girls go around with their passports to get a stamp from each country and look at the different cultures. I think it is a really cool activity I loved going around looking at the different presentations.
Afterward we went to Cold Stone for some free ice cream. My friend filled me in on the fact that if you stopped by that night the kids got free ice cream and adults were $1.50 with mixin's which is a great deal. Bailey got cotton candy with gummy bears and peanut butter cups (yummy ;) ) I decided to just get the yogurt sorbet stuff with a brownie. I had a bite of Bay's and told her that hers was much creamier than mine, she said "well that is because you got the healthy kind." I said, "true I did but we have had a lot of treats lately so I thought I better get that kind." She said, "well mom ice cream is a treat and you only have it sometimes, so its okay to not have the healthy kind." My own advice right back in my face. I didn't even tell her what kind I got, I have no idea how she new that kind was supposedly healthier. Crazy kid!

She loves to stick her face into things like cupcakes, ice cream, you name it.
She thinks she is hilarious.
Again I say.....Crazy Kid!

Logan....Our Little Walking Man

It is true our little man is on the move. He took his first few steps last Wednesday and has gotten a little more comfortable with it each day. He will take off on his own now without us forcing him to. He needs some mastering of the skill but I can tell that it is going to be a fun and crazy ride. We love this little guy.

Some photos of the first few major steps

This video shows about as far as he has gone (about the length of the living room)
I think us all clapping and cheering all the time is probably distracting to his concentration, but we just can't help ourselves!!

Baby Jackson's Visit

Mel and Spence and their new little guy came for a visit this past week. Spencer was here to help with the Special Olympics so Mel came along to hang out. It was fun to see Jackson and the girls of course loved mauling him. Logan loved using his face as a way to stand up. Nice. You seriously do forget how little they are, it has only been 8 months but I still can't believe Logan was really that little not that long ago. It goes by too fast!!

Happy Valentines Day

The last few days have been full of Valentines Day activities. The girls both had a great time at their school class parties. We enjoyed making Love Bugs for the grandparents and eating all of the goodies (we have had a few too many treats). It has a been a lot of fun. Ryan and I went to Bonefish Grill for dinner last night it was really good, a fun change and a nice night out with just the two of us.

Cute Heart Hair

Raggedy Ann Music boxes from Grandma and Pops.
They were a total hit.

Logan with his little Valentine from us. His real gift was some new shoes that are not here yet. He needs them because he is pretty much walking. More on that later.

Taxes

Ryan started working on the taxes today. I am not happy. All of the plans I had in the works for the next few months are not happy. Bailey asked me if I was happy that Barrack Obama was our president I said "not today" I am not sure if he had anything to do with my taxes or not, but I have to blame someone! If anyone can remember going out to dinner with us and talking dentistry and still has the receipt could you please send it our way, serious deductions are needed!!

p.s. Obama lovers my comment about "not today"would have been the same regardless of who was President, so no hate comments please. Thank You :)

Cute Hats and Our Little Pet

The girls gave each other these hats for Christmas. My sis in laws friend makes them... http://www.theblackbeanshop.blogspot.com/ I think they are so cute. Bailey wears hers everyday since it is so chilly these days. Ellie took hers for show and tell this week since they are studying the letter H. I hadn't snapped a photo of them yet but glad I finally captured a photo of their cuteness. Lovin Bay's throwing of the peace sign......cuteness of that questionable?

Most of my family and friends know that I am not really a pet person, but lately our little Logey boy has turned into our family pet. He will eat anything he can find. I think that the floor is pretty clean and don't notice anything around for him to pick up. But I turn for a second and he has found something, heaven knows where, and has it in his mouth. Then it takes the jaws of life to open his mouth and retrieve it out. I will not even mention some of the things he has found. His favorite place to hang out is under the table I think he just waits for us to drop scraps. He hangs out under there most of the day and usually find something to gnaw on. I have found it is better if I actually give him some snacks (Cheerios or puffs) to eat off the ground to keep him from eating any other sort of garbage he may find. In other pet news, he pooped up his back earlier this week so once I got him clean I thought I would set him in the bath really quick with the girls. After I got him out and wrapped him in his towel. I was washing the girls hair and realized the back of my leg was getting wet, I looked back and there was my little boy peeing on my leg. Lovely.

I probably will never be a pet person, but this little pet is a keeper I am just going to have to always be on my A game.
